New type of coating in our offer of PVD coatings. New technology is protected by a patent.

The outstanding features of DARWIN^® coatings are excellent adhesion to substrate, very smooth surface, hardness and thermal resistivity comparable with the best AlTiN coatings and possibility to reach such thickness which is unreachable for standard PVD coatings. DARWIN^® coatings and technology  stand for the biggest change in PVD technologies since the industrial introduction of nanocompozite coatings in 1996.

Success of NACODRY - R&D project of SHM

SHM as a partner of a consorcium participated in R&D project called NACODRY, which ran in the frame of Growth Programme under the Fifth European Community Framework Programme for Research. In 2004 the Commission launched EVIMP-2 study with the goal to identify if the Growth Programme produced the results and impact expected from it. The study assessed 1500 projects, of which 726 have been considered in the EVIMP-2 brochure.

EVIMP-2 evaluated NACODRY as one of the best 8 projects!
